This course is for Social workers and practitioners who have completed the 5 Day Systemic training and want to continue to develop and embed their systemic skills

½ day training focussed on developing, embedding and practicing systemic skills and techniques. The training is based around a framework of purposeful systemic social work and an associated ‘toolkit’ developed by the clinical team to support practitioners to utilise systemic approaches in their practice.

Learning Objectives:

  • Enhance the systemic skills of social work and early help practitioners through the provision of a map of tools and techniques for working alongside families
  • Explore the influence of social graces and power within practitioner / family relationships to support the choice of tools that ‘fit’ for families
  • Using strengths based approaches while also attending to information about risks of harm
  • Create a space for systemic practitioners to come together to share their expertise / learning / successes / challenges in applying systemic tools in their practice
