Cultural competence is necessary in every aspect of life- professional and personal. Developing cultural competence can support us to foster relationships, a powerful part of who we are, they can help us feel like we belong, and make a valuable contribution to the world.
This course provides participants with the opportunity to explore views- their own and societies. And presents ideas in a fun and engaging way, in order to provide participants with insight into this multi-facetted and complex topic.
Delivered by an experienced Social Worker (who was a previous Teacher), she confidently shares her knowledge and lived experience with participants, in order to support and develop critical thinking on cultural competence, to benefit professional practice.
This course can be emotive for participants, and whilst it can be delivered in a much reduced half a day session, it is best delivered in a full day session. This allows participants the opportunity to engage in fuller activities, in depth discussion and adequate time to reflect.
